Julie Dibens is a multiple world champion triathlete with more than 15 years’ experience racing as a professional. Her career highlights include winning the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2009, being a three-time Xterra World Champion and a third place finish at the Ironman World Championships. Prior to racing middle and long distance triathlons Julie also competed for many years on the ITU circuit and is a two-time Great Britain Olympic team member.
Julie retired from professional triathlon racing in 2014 and turned her energy towards coaching full time. She now coaches a great group of athletes – the JD crew – based in her adopted home town of Boulder, Colorado. She has been working with EK since summer 2016 and oversees all aspects of her training, racing and athletic development.
Amy is a strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer and massage therapist with a B.S. in Kinesiology/Physical Education from the University of Maine. She specialises in functional movement for all levels, sport specific conditioning, weight loss and endurance training. Her training style and individual based program design bridges new techniques with proven methodologies.
Amy believes in the power of the body and enjoys inspiring her clients to listen to their bodies and utilize them to their fullest potential. Amy grew up playing ice hockey and was selected for the USA Jr. National festival 4 times and went on to play division I at the University of Maine. She is a keen triathlete and works with a number of Julie Dibens’ athletes.
Lawrence is an all-round performance enhancer who has been involved in elite endurance sport for the past 20 years. He is the founder of Innerunner, delivering running clincs and workshops around the world. A chiropractor and movement guru, his background is rich and varied: he was Red Bull South Africa’s High Performance manager in 2013; he works with the Santa Cruz Syndicate and triple World Downhill Mountain Bike champion Greg Minnaar. He coaches Ultra trail runner Ryan Sandes and worked with the Mr Price Comrades Marathon Team for 10 years. He is married to one of South Africa’s most versatile athletes, Gwen van Lingen, an Olympic finalist in the 1500m, a South African champion in almost every distance from the 1500m to the marathon and a Two Oceans Ultra 56km winner. He has been working with EK since spring 2015.
Dr. Silver of Boulder Peak Health is a leading expert in medical care for elite athletes. Trained at UCSF in Internal Medicine, Board certified in Functional & Regenerative Medicine and with more than 16 years of clinical experience, Dr. Silver provides a unique approach to her patients across the US. Her model of care is based on the successful identification of her patient’s underlying symptoms to provide a highly individualized treatment plan. As a former Ironman World Championship competitor, Dr. Silver draws on her own athletic experiences to provide medical guidance specific to elite athletic performance.
